Belles Win Final MIAA Round of Season, Finish Second in Standings

SAUGATUCK, Mich. - The Saint Mary's golf team saved their best play of the year for their final 18 holes by overcoming the elements and shooting a 320 to win the last of three MIAA NCAA Automatic Qualifying rounds.

Host Hope placed second in the round with a 325. Olivet was third with a 344. Trine placed fourth with a 346. Hope will move on to the 2016 NCAA Championships after leading all four teams at the conclusion of the three rounds with a 54-hole total of 962. Saint Mary's was second with a score of 991. Olivet placed third with a 1029, and Trine was fourth with a 1038.

Taylor Kehoe not only led the Belles on Saturday as the freshman was the round medalist with a three-over par 75 to tie the 18-hole MIAA course record at the Ravines Golf Club.

Ali Mahoney shot an 80 to finish tied for third overall. Kelsey Conkright was a stroke behind with an 81 to place sixth. Courtney Carlson turned in an 84 to round out the team score while placing ninth. Sammie Averill added an 87 and tied for 13th overall.
