Belles Hold Fourth at Olivet Tee-Off Tournament

MARSHALL, Mich. - The Saint Mary's golf team shot a 343 and hold sole possession of fourth place after day one of the Olivet Labor Day Tee-Off Tournament.

Washington University in St. Louis leads the field with a 306. DePauw is second with a 329, and Illinois Wesleyan sits in third place with a 337 heading into day two. Washington University's Chloe DiPetrillo was the medalist for the round with a one-over par 73 at the Medalist Golf Club.

Ali Mahoney and Courtney Carlson led the scores for the Belles on the day with 81s while tying for sixth place overall. Mahoney had a team-best eight pars to go along with a birdie. Carlson matched the most birdies on the day with one other player after turning in three on Saturday.

Taylor Kehoe shot an 87 and holds a share of 17th place. She tied with several other players with the second-best par five scoring in the round while also registering seven pars. Kaitlyn Cartone wrapped up the team score with a 94 (30th) while turning in a pair of birdies.

Lydia Lorenc was the Belles' fifth scoring eligible golfer and shot a 101 for 37th place overall on day one. Kelsey Conkright, meanwhile, is competing as an individual and shot a 96 for 32nd place.

Day two of the tournament begins at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday morning at the Medalist Golf Club.
