Gray Earns WGCA All-American Scholar Honor

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Saint Mary's golfer Kaitlyn Gray was one of 952 women's collegiate golfers to earn Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar recognition for the 2016-17 academic year.

In order to be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average while being of high moral character and in good standing at the college making the nomination to be considered for the honor. At the Division III level, student-athletes must also compete in at least 12 rounds of golf during the academic year.

Gray was one of ten women's golfers from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association to earn WGCA All-American Scholar status for 2016-17. A freshman this past year, she had an 88.8 scoring average while competing in 17 18-hole rounds for the Belles. It is the first such academic honor of her collegiate career.
