NORMAL, Ill. - The Saint Mary's golf team is currently tied for eleventh place in a field of 22 teams at the Illinois Wesleyan Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling.
The Belles (+31) are four strokes behind Olivet for tenth place and five strokes back of a pair of teams tied for eighth place. Washington University in St. Louis leads the field currently with both Indiana Tech and Hope close behind in second and third, respectively.
The round was four holes short of completion when rain and storms halted play. The remainder of round one will be completed starting at 8:00 a.m. CDT. The teams will then begin the second 18-hole round immediately.
