Belles Place Second at Trine Jamboree

ANGOLA, Ind. - The Saint Mary's golf team shot a 334 to place second at the MIAA Jamboree hosted by Trine at Zollner Golf Course on Saturday.

Hope won the jamboree with a score of 330. Olivet placed third, just three strokes behind the Belles. Adrian's Brooke Symons was the round medalist with a score of 76 on a hot and humid afternoon.

Taylor Kehoe led the Belles with an 82 to tie for fifth place overall. Summer Stillson, Hunter Kehoe, and Lauren Read all shot rounds of 84 to lock up the team's 334. The trio tied for tenth overall as the Belles posted the most consistent scoring round of the day of any team. Courtney Quinlan was the fifth golfer in the lineup and shot a 93 to tie for 32nd overall.

Kelsey Conkright competed as an individual at the round and shot a 90 to tie for 25th in the field of nearly 50 golfers.

Next up for Saint Mary's is the third MIAA Jamboree of the fall. The round will be hosted by Calvin at Thornapple Pointe Golf Club on Wednesday, September 27 beginning at 1:30 p.m.
