Belles Finish Second at Calvin Jamboree

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Saint Mary's golf team shot a 340 to finish second at the MIAA Jamboree hosted by Calvin at Thornapple Pointe Golf Course on Wednesday evening.

Hope finished in first place with a team score of 330. Alma was third with a 343, and Olivet placed fourth with a score of 345. Hope's Megan Klintworth was the round medalist after carding a two-over par 74.

Hunter Kehoe led the Belles' efforts with an 82 to finish tied for fifth place overall. She had nine pars and was tied for the fifth-best par four scoring in the round. Lauren Read was one stroke behind with an 83 to take a share of seventh place. She was among the top 17 golfers in par three, par four, and par five scoring while also turning in nine pars.

Summer Stillson shot an 84 to finish tied for tenth overall. She sunk a birdie and added six pars while going one-over on par three holes in the round. Taylor Kehoe wrapped up the team score with a 91 to finish tied for 25th. The junior posted a birdie and was even in par three scoring. Kelsey Conkright was the fifth Belle in the lineup and shot a 97 to finish tied for 37th. She was among the top 25 golfers in par three scoring.

Libby Clark competed as an individual and shot a 95 with a birdie to hold a share of 35th place.

The Belles travel to Adrian's home course of Lenawee Country Club on Saturday for the fourth of six rounds of MIAA competition. The jamboree begins at 1:00 p.m.
