Belles in Second After Day One at Olivet Labor Day Classic

MARSHALL, Mich. - The Saint Mary's golf team shot a 333 and the Belles currently sit in second place after day one of the Olivet Labor Day Classic at the Medalist Golf Club.

Rose-Hulman shot a 331 to lead the field while host Olivet and Hanover each had round of 339 to have a share of third place in the field of six teams.

Taylor Kehoe shot a 79 to tie for the best round of the day with Hanover's Maddison Cody. The junior led the field with 12 pars, had the best par five scoring on the day, and tied for the best par four scoring of the round while sinking a birdie.

Summer Stillson and Lauren Read each turned in rounds of 81 to tie for fourth overall. Stillson had the third-best par four scoring round of the day and was two-over on par five holes with seven pars. Read was one-under on par three holes, had seven pars, and sunk two birdies in the round.

Hunter Kehoe rounded out the team score with a 92 to finish tied for 19th. She was one-over on par three holes and added a birdie. Kelsey Conkright was the fifth Belle in the lineup and shot a 100 (29th overall). The senior had a birdie and was among the top 25 golfers in par three scoring.

Libby Clark and Courtney Quinlan are each competing as individuals in the tournament. Clark shot a 98 to end the round 27th overall. Quinlan carded a 103 to hold 30th place heading into day two.

The two-day tournament concludes on Sunday. The round begins at 9:00 a.m.
