Belles Win Olivet Labor Day Classic

Round Two Results

MARSHALL, Mich. - The Saint Mary's golf team fired a 317 on day two to win the team title at the Olivet Labor Day Classic by 15 strokes.

The Belles posted a two-day score of 650 after turning in a 333 on Saturday to go with Sunday's 317 at the Medalist Golf Club. Rose-Hulman was second with a 665, and Hanover finished third with a 673. Hanover's Maddison Cody was the tournament medalist with a 154 in two rounds.

Hunter Kehoe shot the low round of the day with a 74. The freshman carded an eagle on the par four No. 8 after her approach shot from approximately 75 yards out hit the green and rolled into the cup. She finished the tournament with a two-day score of 166 for sixth place overall.

Summer Stillson turned in a 77 on Sunday and finished tied for second overall with a 158 for the weekend. She had 16 total pars in the two rounds while leading the field with five birdies. Taylor Kehoe shot a 79 on Sunday and also had a two-day score of 158 to tie for second overall. She shared the tournament-high of 22 pars in two days and had the best par four scoring effort of the weekend.

Kelsey Conkright wrapped up the team score with an 87. The senior had a birdie on the par three No. 12 and finished the tournament with a 187 to finish tied for 23rd overall. Lauren Read posted a 93 on Sunday and tied for 16th with a two-day score of 174 while turning in four birdies on the weekend.

Libby Clark took two strokes off yesterday's score and shot a 92 to conclude the tournament with a 190 for a share of 25th place. Courtney Quinlan shaved nine strokes off of her first round with a 94 on Sunday to finish 29th with a 197.

The Belles are back to competition on Saturday and Sunday, September 16 and 17 at the Heidelberg Fall Invite in Ohio.
