THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - The Saint Mary's golf team opened up the 2018 spring season with a 361 at day one of the California Lutheran Regals Invitational at Sunset Hills Country Club on Monday afternoon.

Claremont Mudd Scripps led the field with a 319. Pomona-Pitzer was second after day one with a 325, and host Cal Lutheran was third with a 329. The Belles are within striking distance of several teams in the field as they trail Marymount by three strokes, Hope International by 10 strokes, and Occidental by 12 strokes heading into day two. Margaret Loncki of Claremont Mudd Scripps had the low individual round of the day with a three-over par 75.

Taylor and Hunter Kehoe each turned in a round of 86 to pace the Belles as the pair tied for 19th overall. Kelsey Conkright shot a 94 for a share of 36th place. Summer Stillson wrapped up the team score with a 95 (t-40th).

Courtney Quinlan was the fifth golfer in the lineup for Saint Mary's and shot a 104 (49th overall).

Day two of the Regals Invitational tees off at 8:00 a.m. PDT on Tuesday in California.
