Records Fall as Belles Take Fourth MIAA Jamboree

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Saint Mary's golf team won the fourth MIAA Jamboree by 35 strokes to extend their lead over the field in the conference standings.

The Belles fired a 306 to claim their fourth-consecutive first place finish. Hope placed second with a 341, and Calvin was third with a team score 342. The 306 establishes a new MIAA record for a conference 18-hole score by a team at Milham Park Golf Club (previously 316 set by Hope in 2015).

Summer Stillson led the Belles and the field with a one-under par 71 to tie for the third-lowest score in MIAA women's golf history. Additionally, her 71 at Kalamazoo's Milham Park Golf Club is an MIAA record for the lowest round posted by an MIAA women's golfer (previously 74 by two players).

Hunter Kehoe was four strokes behind with a 75 to finish second place overall. Lauren Read posted a 79 and was tied for third place on the day. Taylor Kehoe and Sydney Hruskoci each turned in 81s to tie for sixth place.

Maggie Sexton and Hannah Finley both competed as individuals for the Belles. The two each shot scores of 91 to tie for 30th place.

Saint Mary's now holds a 98-stroke lead over the field heading into the final weekend of conference competition. The Belles kick off day one of the MIAA End of Season Weekend Jamboree at Bedford Valley Golf Club on Friday starting at 1:00 p.m.
