Team Spirit: Belles past and present hit the field
for alumnae soccer game

Alumnae soccer gameSoccer season may be over, but that doesn’t stop our Belles from playing. This weekend the soccer team will take the field with some former teammates as alumnae return to the College Saturday for the Alumnae Soccer Game.

Coach Ryan Crabbe, who is finishing up his first year as Saint Mary’s head soccer coach, organized the event. His goals are two-fold. “Ultimately the event is to serve a couple purposes—to reconnect our current players and our program with our alumnae, and to give our current team an event to cap their dedicated efforts working out in the off-season, and during our four weeks of spring practices.”

Team captain Bridget Ronayne ’10 is looking forward to connecting with soccer alumnae. “The alumnae soccer game is a great chance for our current players to get some playing minutes at the end of our spring season, but it also acts as a chance for us, the current players, to meet and/or reconnect with some of the Belles from the past,” says the English literature major and Belles sweeper/center. "I can't wait to get out on the field and play with some of my old teammates."
