Chamber Children’s Choir Auditions

Auditions will be held on Saturday, November 17 for the Chamber Children’s Choir, which is affiliated with the South Bend Chamber Singers (SBCS), the region’s premier vocal chamber ensemble. Young singers in grades 3 through 8 are invited to the audition, which will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in room 114 of Moreau Center for the Arts at Saint Mary’s College. Click for a campus map. This will be the third year for the Choir, which provides a good short-term experience in choral singing for children.

The Chamber Children’s Choir will perform several songs at the SBCS concert “Singing Up a Storm! (Meteorological Music)” to be held on March 3 at the South Bend Christian Reformed Church. The Euclid String Quartet will also join SBCS and WNDU-TV weatherman Gary Sieber will offer narration. The concert will feature the world premiere of a new work by American composer Frank Ferko.

Pre-registration is not required for the auditions. Those with questions may contact Kat Keasey, director of the Chamber Children's Choir, at (574) 288-6293 or katkeasey@gmail.com.
