Social Work Students Offer Best Practices for Homeless Youth Count (WSBT)

Social work students are working with the Youth Service Bureau to account for the number of homeless youth in St. Joseph County. The bureau's Street Outreach seeks anyone between the ages of about 13 and 24 who faces neglect, homelessness or street or family violence, as well as young mothers. In the fall, professor Fran Kominkiewicz's Research Methods class assessed how to execute an accurate population count. The class is mentioned at the end of this in depth story.
