Minority/Women Business Enterprises Certification Workshop Planned

The Saint Mary’s College’s Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative (WEI), the City of South Bend’s Diversity Utilization Board and the Indiana Department of Administration’s (IDOA) Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises (MWBE) Division are proud to co-host an informational workshop for minority and/or women-owned businesses interested in achieving certification as Minority or Women Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE). The event, called “Let’s Talk Certification,” will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday, March 13 in the Student Center at Saint Mary’s College. A complimentary continental breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. (Click for a campus map.) The event is free and open to all local minority or women owned businesses. Registration is recommended.

Those who attend may sign up for any three of the five informational sessions to be conducted by IDOA’s Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises, the Indiana Minority Supplier Development Council, the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council—Midwest Region, Indiana Department of Transportation, and the Small Business Administration.  Representatives from each of the organizations will provide information about their respective certification programs, and discuss the benefits and opportunities associated with MBE/WBE certification.
