Higher Learning Commission Reconfirms College's Accreditation

February 24, 2016 (Notre Dame, Ind.)—Saint Mary’s College is pleased to announce that the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association continued (reconfirmed) the College’s accredited status. The College received word from the HLC in a letter dated February 12, 2016. In the fall of 2015, an HLC team came to campus and reviewed the College’s ongoing ability to meet the Commission’s Criteria for Accreditation.

“Many members of the Saint Mary’s College community contributed a tremendous amount time and effort to the accreditation process. I am grateful to them and delighted at the outcome of the HLC’s findings,” said Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs Patricia Fleming.

Saint Mary’s College has been accredited by the HLC since 1922. The HLC website is www.hlcommission.org.
