Meet Me At Saint Mary's

On March 22, 756 guests were on campus for Meet Me at The Avenue, an annual day long event at Saint Mary's College designed for admitted students to experience life as a Saint Mary’s student. Held in March, “Meet Me” features an fun activity that helps to connect our admitted students, campus tours, a lunch in the dining hall, panels with current students, and opportunities to connect with faculty and staff.
Students travelled for this popular event from 23 states from as far away as Texas, Washington, California, Alabama and New Jersey.
“This admitted student celebration is the largest, most popular event to welcome incoming students to the campus community,” said Sarah Gallagher Dvorak, Dean of Enrollment Management and Marketing. “Students and their families could explore every inch of campus, visiting a residence hall, classrooms, spiritual spaces, the Student Center, and Angela Athletic & Wellness Center.”
She said this not only allows students to gain an understanding of what life might be like for them at Saint Mary’s, it also allows parents and families an important opportunity.
“Because a portion of our incoming students are first generation, events like Meet Me at The Avenue help everyone in their families feel good about their decision to attend Saint Mary’s,” Gallagher Dvorak said. “Families can ask questions and leave with a better understanding of complicated topics like the financial aid process, and student support resources.”
Though this is the largest Admission event held each year, the Enrollment team hosts groups of students throughout the spring. On Saturday evening, 106 students with an alumna or current student connection and their guests attended an event at Notre Dame Stadium called, Meet Me at The Stadium. Then, on Sunday, more than 140 admitted students were hosted by President Katie Conboy at the annual Presidential Scholars Breakfast. This event celebrates the top scholars of the incoming class.
