Political Communication Students Analyze Presidential Debate via WSBT

September 28, 2016 (Notre Dame, Ind.) — Michael Kramer, professor and chair of the department of communication studies, dance, and theatre, had his Political Communication class watch the first presidential debate of this election season.

It was a historic moment as the first woman nominee for president participated in her first general election debate. The students analyzed what both candidates, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, said, just as much as how they presented themselves with nonverbal cues and body language.

WSBT joined the class to capture some of the students’ reactions. Watch here.
