Saint Mary's College Students Can Begin Master's Degree Early

Saint Mary’s College students can get a head start on a master’s degree while finishing up their undergraduate education. Current second semester juniors are allowed to apply to the Master of Science in Data Science program the year prior to their intended start of the program, provided they meet certain prerequisites. If admitted to the master’s program, a student may take up to two graduate-level courses while still a senior at Saint Mary’s College, earning six credits toward their master’s degree. Saint Mary’s College juniors are not required to take the GRE for admission into the program, and the application fee is waived.

With careful planning, underclassmen can complete the program prerequisites and apply their junior year. For more information on specific course requirements and application requirements, click here or contact Melissa Fruscione, Associate Director of Admission for Graduate Programs .
