Buttons on Your Phone
Release - This button is used to hang up or disconnect
Hold - This button is used to put someone on hold. To take a call off hold, press the line button next to the flashing indicator
Handsfree/Mute (only on speakerphone models) - A feature you can use to place calls without lifting the handset. Mute turns off the microphone while you are on an active call.
Volume Control Bar – The volume control bar is used to adjust the volume of the handset, the handsfree speaker, or the ringer.
Transfering Calls
- To transfer a call to a third party, press Conf/Trans
- Listen for special dial tone, dial third party (note: if busy, no answer or wrong number – press Rls then press line key next to flashing indicator)
- Party answers, Announce Call
- Press Conf/Trans, then press Rls to complete the transfer (note: you cannot transfer two outgoing calls)
Threeway Conversation
- To add a third party, with the caller on the line, press Conf/Trans
- Listen for special dial tone, dial third party (note: if busy, no answer or wrong number – press Rls then press line key next to flashing indicator)
- Party answers, press Conf/Trans
- Begin conversation
Consultation Hold
To Make a Consultation Call
- To hold call and place a consultation call, press Conf/Trans
- Listen for special dial tone, dial third party
- Party answers, converse (note: if busy, no answer or wrong number – press Rls then press line key next to flashing indicator)
To Return to Original Call
- Called party hangs up, press the line button next to the flashing indicator
- Resume conversation (note: the other party is disconnected)
Automatic Callback
To Activate Automatic Callback
- To be called back when a busy phone becomes free
- Hear busy tone
- Press Ring Again
- Hang Up
When Called Back
- Listen for call back ring
- Lift Handset
- Press Ring Again
- Hear ringing – wait for answer
To Cancel Automatic Callback
- Press Ring Again
Call Forwarding
To Activate Call Forward
- Without lifting the handset, press Call Forward
- Dial the number where you wish your calls to be forwarded
- Press Call Forward (note: when call forwarding is activated, your phone may still be used to originate other calls)
To Cancel Call Forward
- Press Call Forward
Directed Call Pickup
To answer a Specific phone ringing in your pickup group
- Lift the handset
- Press Directed Call Pickup
- Dial extension number you wish to answer
- Begin converstation
Autodial
To Program an Auto Dial Number
- Without lifting the handset, press an Auto Dial key
- Enter the number to be stored
- Press the (flashing) Auto Dial key
To Call an Auto Dial Number
- Lift the handset
- Press the Auto Dial key
Last Number Redial
- Press line key of the line used to make last call
- Press # # (twice)
Access Messages
- Lift handset
- Press Msg Waiting
- When prompted, enter your password
Personal Speed Dial
To Program a Speed Dial Number
- Without lifting the handset, press the Speed Dial key
- Enter the 1-digit speed dial Code you wish to program (0-9)
- Enter the Telephone Number, including 9 + 1 + area code if needed
- Press the Speed Dial key to save the entry
To Place a Speed Dial Call
- Lift the handset or press the handsfree key
- Press the Speed Dial key
- Dial the 1-digit speed dial Code (0-9)
Program Your Phone
The Program key will allow you to customize certain characteristics of your phone such as:
- Volume Adjustment
- Time and Date Set
- Time and Date Format
- Call Timer
- Display Language
