SAAC Valentine's Day Party a Success

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The 2012 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's Valentine's Day party was a big success on Sunday, February 12.

Ronald McDonald entertains the crowd on Sunday.Complete with a visit from Ronald McDonald, children from the oncology and hematology units of local hopitals as well as children from South Bend's LOGAN Center were treated to an afternoon of fun at Angela Athletic Facility.

The College's four varsity fall sports - cross country, golf, soccer, and volleyball - provided crafts and activities for the attending families. Midway through the afternoon's events, Ronald McDonald put on a magic show for all in attendance. Close to two dozen families enjoyed crafts, the magic show, a dance lesson by the dance team, and an opportunity to shoot baskets, kick around soccer balls, and play.

The Valentine's Day party is one of two annual holiday parties hosted by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
