Belles Split Pair of Non-Conference Contests
WHEATON, Ill. - The Saint Mary's volleyball team won a 3-2 (27-25, 23-25, 21-25, 25-19, 15-12) match against Lakeland before getting swept by Wheaton (Ill.) by 25-20, 25-10, 25-15 scores.

SPARK Program Gears up for 3rd Class of Budding Entrepreneurs
The Saint Mary's College Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative (WEI) is proud to announce it will host its third session of SPARK, an eleven-week entrepreneurship training program for women. Women interested in taking part in SPARK must apply in person at a screening on Monday, September 24, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Spes Unica Hall, room 213.

Poli Sci Professor on Next Week's Michigan Primary (WSBT-TV)
Michigan's primary is next Tuesday. Republican Presidential hopefuls are already in Michigan campaigning for votes. Political science professor Sean Savage was interviewed and said the state is a must-win for Romney. He believes it will happen if moderate Republican voters outnumber conservative Republicans at the polls.

Local Women "SPARKing" Businesses, Thanks to Saint Mary's (Fox 28)
Eight local women hope to SPARK their entrepreneurial businesses in the New Year. Participants in the Saint Mary's SPARK program’s third session graduated December 19. "SPARKler" Jean Carter talked to Fox 28 about her plans to start a company called Junk to Jazz, which will re-purpose discarded items into art. SPARK is run out of the Women's Entrepreneurial Initiative (WEI) office at the College.

Entrepreneurial Students Incorporate Soda Company (Times of NW Indiana...
Three Saint Mary's College students have officially incorporated TOL Soda Co. after creating and marketing Twist O'Luck soda as part of a class project. The fizzy, green–colored specialty drink was developed as a tribute to the South Bend community and the spirit for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, said Hannah Hupp '12.

Late Run Lifts Belles Over Scots
