Paton Tabbed MIAA Offensive Player of the Week

ROYAL OAK, Mich. - Saint Mary's senior midfielder Taylor Paton (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg) has been selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Week for her performance in the Defiance Classic last weekend.


Taylor Paton is the MIAA Offensive
Player of the Week for Week #1 of
the season.Paton scored two goals, both set up by corner kicks, as the Belles won a season-opening tournament at Defiance, Ohio with a 4-0 victory over Thiel, Pa. It was the first time she has scored multiple goals in a single game during her collegiate career.

Paton is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in her career. It is also the first time since the 2007 season that Saint Mary's has had a player named MIAA Player of the Week.
