Green Tabbed MIAA Defensive Player of the Week

ROYAL OAK, Mich. - Saint Mary's sophomore defender Kerry Green was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in games played through September 16.

Green anchored the Belles' defense with her timely tackles, winning contested balls and passing out of the back as Saint Mary's defeated Olivet, 4-1, and defending MIAA champion Adrian, 2-1, to grab an early share of the conference lead.

Green is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
