Hussey Earns MIAA Defensive Player of the Week Honor

ROYAL OAK, Mich. - Saint Mary's sophomore defender Mary Kate Hussey has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Defensive Player of the Week for her performances in games played through October 7.

Hussey had an outstanding week with her organization, ball winning, and possession from out of the backline as Saint Mary’s posted a pair of shutout victories – 4-0 over Trine and 1-0 over Hope – to maintain a share of second place in the crowded MIAA race.

She is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
