Biehl, Green Named MIAA Players of the Week

ROYAL OAK, Mich. - Saint Mary’s forward Rosie Biehl and defender Kerry Green have been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Players of the Week in women’s soccer for games played through Oct. 6.

Biehl, a freshman from Chesterton, Ind. (Chesterton HS), broke up a scoreless tie with the game’s first goal in the Belles’ 2-0 win over Adrian. She led Saint Mary’s offense with nine shots on goal in two games, including six against the Bulldogs. Biehl is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in her career.

Kerry Green
Green, a junior from Cincinnati, Ohio (Mount Notre Dame HS), led a Saint Mary’s backline that did not allow a goal in two MIAA victoriers. Her efforts limited Adrian to five shots on goal in the Belles’ 2-0 win, the first time the Bulldogs had been shut out all season. She also helped hold Trine to two shots on net in a 1-0 double overtime win over the Thunder. Green is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time this season and second time in her career.
