Belles Denied by No. 18 Knights

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Saint Mary's soccer team lost a 3-0 contest against No. 18 ranked Calvin on Saturday afternoon.

The Knights scored a goal with just under 15 minutes remaining in the first half on a shot inside the far post off of a centering pass. Calvin added two second-half goals in the 65th minute and 76th minute for the 3-0 victory.

Calvin held a 15-5 advantage over the Belles in shots for the contest. The Knights had five shots on goal to Saint Mary's one. Maggie McLaughlin led the Belles with four shots in the game.

Chanler Rosenbaum suffered the loss in goal while playing all 90 minutes and picking up a pair of saves.

The Belles (6-6-3, 4-4-3 MIAA) travel to Hope on Tuesday, October 22 for a 7:00 p.m. contest against the Flying Dutch.
