Belles Earn Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Saint Mary's soccer team was one of 593 women's collegiate soccer players from NCAA Division I, II, and III and NAIA to earn the 2012-13 Team Academic Award.

The award, which is presented annually by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), is bestowed on collegiate programs whose teams maintain a 3.0 grade point average or above for the entire academic year.

The recognition for the 2012-13 academic year marks the eighth consecutive year that the Saint Mary's soccer program has earned the distinction.

The Belles posted a 3.32 cumulative grade point average for the past academic year. Saint Mary's was one of five MIAA women's programs to make the list for 2012-13 with fellow league members Alma, Hope, Kalamazoo, and Olivet also posting at least a 3.0 GPA.
