Rosenbaum Named to Honorable Mention Academic All-Region List

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Saint Mary's senior soccer player Chanler Rosenbaum was one of several NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA student-athletes named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Women's College Division Scholar All-North/Central Regional Honorable Mention list.

chanler rosenbaum soccerForty-four women's soccer players at programs from colleges in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan made up the first, second, and third teams for the academic honor while fewer than ten dozen student-athletes made the honorable mention list.

In order to be nominated, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) throughout her career; start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to the team; be nominated by an institution that is a current NSCAA member; and be a junior or above in academic standing at the current institution.

Rosenbaum exceeded the minimum GPA requirement while playing in all 20 of the team's games this past season. The senior goalkeeper from Hobart, Indiana, started 17 of 20 games in goal while making one start in the field. She posted four shutouts while making 93 saves in nearly 1700 minutes in goal.

The announcement came shortly after the soccer team collectively earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the ninth consecutive year for having better than a 3.00 cumulative GPA for the 2013-14 academic year.
