GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Saint Mary's soccer team suffered a 5-0 conference setback against Calvin on Tuesday afternoon.

The Knights struck in the 10th and 13th minutes of play to set the tone early, but the Belles held their own over the remaining 32 minutes of play to keep Calvin from getting on the scoreboard again in the opening period. Thallia Robles made four saves down the stretch - including two within a minute of one another late in the half - to keep the score at 2-0 going into the break.

Calvin, however, took little time to extend their lead in the second period as the Knights scored in the opening minute of the half. Calvin added goals in both the 54th minute and 80th minute a 5-0 lead. Robles came up with a last-second save to hold the difference at five goals as the game concluded by that final margin.

The Belles were held without an official shot in the contest while Thallia Robles collected 13 saves in goal.

The Belles (1-6, 0-5 MIAA) host Hope on Friday, September 23 at 6:00 p.m. at the Purcell Athletic Fields.
