KALAMAZOO, Mich - The Saint Mary's soccer team fell by a 7-0 score at Kalamazoo on Saturday afternoon.

The host Hornets mounted a 2-0 lead through the opening ten minutes of play. Brianna Smith put the Belles' first shot on frame in the 33rd minute only to have the effort saved. McKenna O'Shea added a shot on goal in the 43rd minute of play, but she also had her effort stopped before any damage could be inflicted.

Kalamazoo added five goals in the second half of play for the decisive 7-0 margin.

Brianna Smith and McKenna O'Shea registered the two official shots for the Belles in the contest. Thallia Robles made five saves, and Hannah Fisher collected a pair of saves over the final 15 minutes of play in goal.

The Belles (1-3, 0-2 MIAA) host Calvin on Monday, September 11 for a 6:30 p.m. conference match.
