O'Shea Garners Second Team All-MIAA Recognition

FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's freshman forward McKenna O'Shea was named Second Team All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) for the 2017 women's soccer season.

A native of Jackson, Michigan, O'Shea was the Belles' offensive leader in goals and points during her first season on the team. Overall, the freshman netted nine goals while registering an assist on her way to 19 points on the year. In MIAA contests, O'Shea was part of four of the team's six goals in league play. She scored three goals and had an assist. A constant threat on offense, she put more than 60 percent of her shots on goal in MIAA play while starting in each of the team's 16 conference contests.

She becomes the 17th Saint Mary's soccer player all-time to earn All-MIAA recognition. Additionally, she is the fifth Belle in program history to garner All-MIAA honors in her freshman season.
