LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Saint Mary's softball team was one of only 96 NCAA Division III programs to earn the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Academic Team recognition for the 2014-15 year.
In order to earn the honor, a team must have at least a 3.000 cumulative grade point average for the entire academic year. The Belles registered a 3.326 cumulative grade point average to have the 46th-highest GPA among Division III programs last year.
Saint Mary's was one of only three MIAA schools to be named to the list for the 2014-15 academic year, joining Kalamazoo and Alma as honorees.
