NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Saint Mary's softball team picked up 6-0 and 5-0 wins over Kalamazoo at home on Saturday to wrap up a 6-0 week.

The Belles plated three runs in the bottom of the first inning in game one to claim a quick lead. Jamie Young and Kelsey Keilman each singled, and Cassie Young reached on a fielder's choice for bases loaded with one out. Morgan Raymer drove in both Jamie Young and Keilman on a double to right-center, and Makenzie Duncan then drove in Cassie Young from third on a sacrifice fly as Young made a swim move around the catcher to avoid the tag at the plate.

Two innings later, Jamie Young, Keilman, and Cassie Young all reached in successive at bats again to load the bases. Raymer delivered a sacrifice fly to center field to plate Young. With Keilman on third and Cassie Young on first after the sac fly, Young stole second base, and Keilman was able to advance home on an off-the-mark throw to second to try to catch Young for the 5-0 Saint Mary's lead through three complete.

Cassie Young hit a one-out double off the left field fence in the fifth inning and scored easily two batters later when Duncan dropped a single down the right field line to put the Belles up 6-0.
