FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's junior softball player Morgan Raymer earned Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Pitcher of the Week accolades for games played through April 2.
Raymer posted a 4-0 record in the circle on the week with a 0.54 ERA. She did not allow an earned run and surrendered just eight hits in 19 innings against MIAA opponents as the Belles started 4-0 in conference play. The junior struck out 22 batters on the week, including seven apiece in complete game victories against Olivet and Kalamazoo. Raymer helped her own cause at the plate with a .455 batting average and a .909 slugging percentage. In the Belles' 7-1 win over Olivet, she went 3-for-4 with three runs at the dish.
It is the first MIAA Pitcher of the Week honor of her career.
