Belles Take On Knights and Scots

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Saint Mary's swim team competed against both Calvin and Alma in an MIAA meet at Calvin's Venema Aquatic Center.

In the head-to-head results, Calvin defeated the Belles 121-84 and Alma took a 129-107 win over Saint Mary's.

Audrey Dalrymple continued to lead the Belles by earning a pair of first place finishes. The senior had a strong breaststroke and freestyle in the 200 individual medley to pass Calvin's Elizabeth Counsell for the win in 2:15.97. Dalrymple led from start to finish in the 100 breaststroke to take a win in a time of 1:10.43.

Megan Price earned a pair of second place finishes for the Belles on Friday night in the 1000 and 500 free events. The senior dropped more than 20 seconds off of her 1000 free time from earlier this week with an 11:07.41. Later in the evening, she cut six seconds off her time from Tuesday in the 500 free (5:27.36).

Kristyn Gerbeth also earned a second place finish for the Belles on the night with a 1:03.71 in the 100 butterfly. Several other members of the Belles squad cut times from their performances on Tuesday, including significant time by Sarah Thompson (100 free, -3.43 seconds), Alex Kane (100 breaststroke, -3.29 seconds), and Liz Litke (100 fly, -4.95 seconds).

The Belles' 400 free relay also earned first place points in the final event of the evening with a time of 3:52.86.
