Belles Compete at Citrus Classic
MESA, Ariz. - The Saint Mary's swim team took full advantage of their winter training trip in Arizona by taking part in the Citrus Classic on December 30. The Belles finished fourth overall as nationally-ranked Division II member Gannon University won the event.
Audrey Dalrymple took first place in the 400 individual medley with a time of 5:02.24 to lead the Belles. The senior also earned a seventh place finish in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:15.66. Megan Price earned a pair of sixth place finishes in the 200 free (2:06.65) and the 500 free (5:43.72). Anna Nolan was a top-eight finisher in the 100 backstroke (1:08.02) to round out the Belles' top individual performances.
The Saint Mary's 400 free relay of Sarah Thompson, Liz Palmer, Julianne Divine, and Megan Price took fourth place in the final event of the meet with a 4:07.97.
The Belles return to conference action on Friday, January 13, when they travel to Olivet for a 6:00 p.m. dual meet with the Comets.
