Belles Kick Off Season with MIAA Relays

HOLLAND, Mich. - The 2011-12 swim season officially kicked off today as the Saint Mary's swim team took part in the non-scoring MIAA Relays at Holland Aquatic Center.

The best relay finish of the day for the Belles came in the 500 free relay. The group of Kristyn Gerbeth, Sarah Thompson, Anna Nolan, and Katie Donovan finished fifth overall in a time of 5:09.58. The 200 butterfly relay of Genevieve Spittler, Liz Litke, Kristyn Gerbeth, and Audrey Dalrymple were just 0.49 of a second behind the fifth place finishers from Albion.

The Belles' first dual meet of the year will be Friday, October 28 against Kalamazoo beginning at 7:00 p.m.
