JENISON, Mich. - The Saint Mary's swimming and diving team opened the 2013 MIAA Swimming and Diving Championships with a seventh-place finish in the 800 freestyle relay in their only event of the night.
The group of Ellie Watson, Emily Brown, Carolyn Neville, and Anna Nolan turned in an 8:08.10 for the fifth-fastest time in the event in program history. The Belles finished seventh overall in the event to put the Belles in seventh place after day one.
The second day of the four-day meet begins tomorrow as preliminaries start at 10:00 a.m. at the Jenison High School pool.
