Belles, Team Recognized for Academic Excellence

SKILLMAN, N.J. - The Saint Mary's tennis team and six of its members were honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for their academic accomplishments this past year.

The team was one of 103 NCAA Division III women's programs which earned ITA All-Academic Team recognition for posting a 3.20 or above cumulative GPA for the 2014-15 academic year. Moreover, the Belles were one of only three MIAA women's teams to be recognized with All-Academic Team honors, joining Kalamazoo and Olivet on the list.

Six members of the team made the ITA Scholar-Athlete list for their efforts this year. Shannon Elliott, Margaret Faller, Andrea Fetters, Jackie Kjolhede, Kesley Kopf, and Kaity Venters earned scholar-athlete status for maintaining at least a 3.50 GPA for the year while earning a varsity letter for the Belles in 2014-15.
