Davy Earns Second Team All-MIAA Honor

FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's tennis player Monica Davy was one of only 12 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association tennis student-athletes to earn a spot on the 2017 All-MIAA list.

A sophomore, Davy was named Second Team All-MIAA after a strong season for the Belles. The team's number one singles play and a part of the team's number one doubles pair, she had a combined 11 wins in MIAA competition this spring in both flights. In her five wins at number one singles, she outscored her opponents 60-12. Her conference losses all came against student-athletes named First Team All-MIAA, and two of those three opponents carry an individual regional ranking from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

It is the second consecutive year she has been named Second Team All-MIAA. Additionally, Saint Mary's has had at least one member of the program named All-MIAA each season since joining the MIAA in the 1997-98 academic year.
