FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's sophomore Monica Davy has been named the MIAA Player of the Week in women's tennis for matches played through February 19.
Davy earned the weekly accolade after posting a combined 4-2 record at doubles and singles play over the weekend for the Belles. She was part of the team's number one doubles flight duo which posted a 3-0 record against Wittenberg, Saint Francis, and Ohio Wesleyan as the team went 2-1 in those competitions. At the number one singles flight, Davy earned a straight-set victory against Saint Francis to help lead the team to their first win of the spring season.
It is the first MIAA Player of the Week honor of her career.
