Belles Split Results at North Park

CHICAGO, Ill. - The Saint Mary's volleyball team lost a 3-1 (21-25; 25-19; 25-21; 25-15) match to Augustana before defeating host North Park, 3-1 (26-28, 25-19, 25-16, 25-15) on Friday night.

Against Augustana, Melanie Kuczek led the Belles' efforts with 15 kills while adding a pair of block assists. Kati Schneider registered 13 kills and 10 digs for the double-double. Meaghan Gibbons led all players with 20 digs, and Katie Hecklinski chipped in nine kills and 14 digs. Clare McMillan posted 39 assists for the Belles.

In the victory against North Park, the Belles bounced back from a tough opening-set loss to win the next three sets in-a-row for the victory. Schneider recorded another double-double with a 15 kill, 11 dig effort. Kuczek hit a .429 and tallied 10 kills, and Hecklinski also chipped in 10 kills. McKenzie Todd led the Belles with 13 digs. Lexi Grady had 15 assists and seven service aces, and McMillan added 17 assists of her own.

The Belles (14-12) return home to host Adrian on Tuesday, September 28 at 7:00 p.m.
