Hecklinski Earns First Team All-MIAA Recognition

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Saint Mary's senior volleyball player Katie Hecklinski picked up First Team All-MIAA honors, as announced by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

A native of South Bend, Indiana, Hecklinski led all players in the conference in kills (214) and points (230.5), was second in kills per set (3.75), and was third in points per set (4.0). Among all league players, the senior outside hitter was eighth in conference play in both digs (212) and digs per set (3.72).

Named an MIAA Co-Player of the Week in September, Hecklinski becomes the sixth player in program history to earn First Team All-MIAA recognition. Additionally, she is the sixth Belle to have been named to an All-MIAA team multiple times in her career after having been a Second Team All-MIAA honoree in 2013.
