Belles Split on Day Two of UW-Oshkosh Invitational

OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Saint Mary's volleyball team lost a 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-16) against No. 23 ranked UW-Oshkosh before closing out their tournament run with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-20) win over Dominican on Saturday.

Against the nationally-ranked host Titans, Meaghan Gibbons led all players with 12 kills while Rachel Bonek posted a .479 attack percentage with 11 kills and no errors on 19 attempts. Kaylin Szucs picked up a match-high 12 digs while notching a pair of service aces. Colleen Kilgallon was in on three blocks, and Alexis Grady registered 28 assists.

Bonek paced the Belles with 11 kills in the sweep victory against Dominican. Gibbons added nine more kills to her total while putting up six digs and four service aces. McKenzie Todd put down eight kills and had two solo blocks and a block assist. Colleen Kilgallon added six kills, three solo blocks, and three block assists. Alexis Grady recorded 32 assists, and Kaylin Szucs had a team-best eight digs.

Meaghan Gibbons was named to the all-tournament team for her efforts on the weekend.

The Belles (8-10) resume conference competition on Tuesday, October 4 when they host Trine at 7:00 p.m.
