CHICAGO, Ill. - The Saint Mary's volleyball team earned a pair of 3-0 wins by taking down Rockford (25-23, 25-13, 25-10) and Illinois Tech (22, 19, 18) at Illinois Tech on Saturday.

The Belles found their rhythm in the opening set against the Regents. After a come-from-behind 25-23 opening set win, the Belles closed out the sweep with decisive 25-13 and 25-10 wins in the second and third sets. Alexis Grady helped lead the way with a strong all-around effort. The senior shared team-high honors with nine kills while posting 16 assists, five digs, and three blocks. McKenzie Todd added nine kills and six digs. Colleen Kilgallon chipped in seven kills and three blocks. Kaylin Szucs led the team with 11 digs, and Clare McMillan posted 13 assists and nine digs. Morgan Klein tallied nine digs in the win.

Saint Mary's set the tone at the net against the Scarlet Hawks with 12 total blocks to IIT's six blocks. Leah Buck matched the program record for block assists in a rally-scoring match with eight helpers on the team's 12 blocks. Colleen Kilgallon was in on two blocks while leading all players with 12 kills, which came on just 22 attempts with three errors for a .409 attack percentage. McKenzie Todd chipped in seven kills with 11 digs. Alexis Grady posted 13 assists and six block assists. Clare McMillan tallied 18 assists. Kaylin Szucs led the Belles with 18 digs.

The Belles (4-6, 1-2 MIAA) return to conference play on Tuesday, September 20 when they host Alma at 7:00 p.m.
