Shannon Tabbed as MIAA Specialist Player of the Week

FREELAND, Mich. - Saint Mary's volleyball player Audrey Shannon was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Specialist Player of the Week on September 11.

A native of New Albany, Indiana, the junior libero averaged 5.80 digs per set and tallied three service aces as the Belles opened the conference season with a 2-1 record. She started the week with a career-best 22 digs in a 3-1 win over Alma. She added 19 digs in a 3-0 sweep of Kalamazoo before leading all players with 17 digs in a 3-0 loss to No. 1 nationally-ranked Calvin.

The MIAA Specialist Player of the Week honor is the first of her career.
