Faculty Profiles
Elizabeth Schleicher
Soprano Elizabeth Schleicher has been on the Saint Mary’s College voice faculty since 2012 teaching private voice, vocal techniques, and opera workshop. She has been seen as a member of the Chicago Lyric Opera chorus, Chicago Symphony Chorus and the Grant Park Music Festival Chorus.
Recent operatic roles include Circe in Our American Odyssey (world premiere), Sandman and Dew Fairy in Hansel & Gretel, Mimi in La Boheme and Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte with South Bend Lyric Opera. She has appeared as the soprano soloist for the Schubert Mass in E-flat with Nicholas McGegan and the St. Louis Symphony.
Also as soprano soloist, Elizabeth has been heard in Handel’s Messiah (Ancilla College and the Vesper Chorale of Indiana), Vivaldi Gloria (South Bend Symphony), Haydn Stabat Mater (Vesper Chorale), Beethoven Mass in C, Fauré Requiem, and the Rutter Requiem (Notre Dame Orchestra and Basilica Choirs.) Elizabeth recently performed as Anne Frank in the chamber work Annelies by James Whitbourn with the South Bend Chamber Singers and the Northwest Indiana Symphony. She is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Masters program and works as a vocal coach for Campus Ministry at the University of Notre Dame. When she is not teaching or singing, she enjoys being outdoors with her husband and three children.
