As National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, Woodson will be speaking about her platform of “READING = HOPE x CHANGE (What’s Your Equation?).” With this message, Woodson hopes to encourage young people to think about – and beyond – the moment we’re living in, the power they possess, and the impact reading can have on showing them ways in which they can create the hope and the change they want to see in the world.

Tickets for this event are $12. SMC students are free. Special discount given to community educators and their students, contact hust@saintmarys.edu for more information.
