On September 1, students from Saint Mary’s College and the University of Notre Dame came together in the Student Center Atrium to showcase the many clubs, special events, government groups, and other activities open to all students throughout the school year.

Student Activities Night, an annual event geared toward the entire student population, gives first year students, especially, the grand tour of college experiences.  This year, more than 90 groups from Saint Mary’s and Notre Dame registered to have display tables throughout the Student Center. The Student Government Association offices, located in the upper level of the Student Center, were also open to give students the chance to learn more about all the things Student Government does on the campus and beyond.

Student body President Rachael Chesley ’11 helped organize the 2010 Student Activities Night. “The Office of Student Involvement serves as an excellent advisor to Student Government Association to make sure everything runs effectively and smoothly,” said Chesley.

Hundreds of students showed up for the event to explore ways to be active members of the College community. “Each Saint Mary’s woman is different and unique and that is what makes this campus and College so distinguished,” Chesley explained. “Student Activities Night is definitely a great event for clubs to seek new talent and share what they love to the students of Saint Mary’s. It really is incredibly to see all the opportunities available to students of our small and distinct liberal arts college.”
