Saint Mary’s Summer Camps and Programs Flourish with the Help of Li...
Saint Mary’s College has received a $500,000 grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. through its Indiana Youth Programs on Campus (IYPC) Initiative. This is the second IYPC award, following a $1 million grant in 2022 to help the college expand its academic and career-focused summer programs serving youth across Indiana and beyond.

Saint Mary’s College celebrated the dedication and ribbon-cutting of the multimillion dollar Prikkel Advising, Career, and Experience (PACE) Center, a transformative new hub for advising, career development, and experiential learning that is now open to students. The PACE Center was made possible through the extraordinary generosity of Jennifer Mathile Prikkel ’95, Patrick Prikkel, and their family.

Dog Tales
For Marilyn Dargis Ambrose ’52, dogs have been constant companions throughout her long, adventurous life serving others. In December, Ambrose, age 94, published her first book, Caleb, Come: Quotidian Miracles of a Therapy Dog. She graduated from Saint Mary's College with a degree in dietetics in the Home Economics department and a minor in chemistry. She and her late husband Raymond welcomed 10 children over their marriage. Ambrose went on to earn her PhD from Purdue University in English and Environmental Design. Following retirement, she served in the Peace Corps in Lithuania.

Angelina Stupak and her Handprint Left Behind
Angelina Stupak ’26 looks back on all that has shaped her and prepared her for what's to come. Providing weekly campus tours has deepened Stupak’s appreciation for Saint Mary’s. “Now, as a senior, each tour has become quite emotional as I reflect on the wondrous four years this institution has provided me with,” says Stupak. Among a myriad of other student organizations, Stupak credits her time as Social Concerns Chair in the Student Government Association (SGA) with being fulfilling and providing her with direction for this year, when she was given the “highest honor” of serving as the student representative on the College's Board of Trustees for the 2025/26 school year.

As a student, Renee Wolbert Baumgartner ’10 joined the fundraising team at Saint Marys. She learned through her work that any gift can make an impact. As her family grows, she and her husband Timothy have adapted their continued commitment in a way that supports the College while meeting their family's needs.

Get Inked Teen Writing Conference Welcomes Creative Young Writers Back...
Saint Mary’s College is welcoming back the Get Inked Teen Writing Conference for 2026. This is the 14th year for the conference, and thanks to the passion of Katherine Higgs-Coulthard, it continues. "More than anything, I want attendees to feel renewed in their passion for writing. Get Inked encourages writers to focus on the areas that they want to work on, to prioritize their own creativity, and to find support from other writers.”
